RV Therapy Motor Home Rental Policies

RV RENTAL TERMS

The renter is subject to the following terms and conditions.

  1. Rental Deposit and Payment:

    A $500 deposit is required to hold a reservation. Rental fees and deposit may be paid by cash, postal money order, travelers check, Visa or MasterCard. Personal checks will only be accepted if they are received 4 weeks prior to the rental date and are for the complete rental amount plus the $500 deposit. Upon rental, the $500 reservation deposit will be transferred to a refundable damage deposit. The damage deposit will be refunded after the post rental inspection, provided the vehicle is returned in the condition it was received by the renter. (See section 6)

  2. Cancellation Policy:

    Cancellation of your reservation within 4 weeks of your rental date will forfeit your $500 deposit. If you cancel your reservation more than 4 weeks prior to your rental date, RV Therapy will refund your $500 deposit.

  3. RV Rental Pick Up and Return Times:

    Rental rate is per night. RV Pick-up time: Monday-Saturday after 3pm. RV Return time 8 am-noons Monday-Saturday. Special arrangements may be considered. The check-in and check-out process will take at least an hour. Please allow enough time. Special arrangements may be considered. The lessee will be charged $50 for each hour the motor home is kept beyond the agreed return time.

  4. Smoking and Pets:

    SMOKING IS FORBIDDEN in the motor home. If the motor home is returned with any smoke odor, the motor home will be considered damaged and the lessee forfeits the damage deposit to cover cleaning and deodorizing costs. Pets are allowed with prior approval from RV Therapy. If lessee receives permission to bring a pet and the motor home is returned with any pet odors, the motor home will be considered damaged and the renter forfeits the damage deposit to cover cleaning and deodorizing costs.

  5. Fish:

    Under no circumstances may fish be brought into the motor home for ANY reason. Cooking fish in the motor home is also forbidden.

  6. Lessee Responsibilities:

    The lessee shall not use, or permit use the use of the rental vehicle for an unlawful purpose; to drive in a careless or negligent manner, nor under the influence of alcohol or narcotics.

    The lessee acknowledges he/she is at least 25 years of age, and has in his/her possession a valid license to operate automobiles.

    The lessee shall acknowledge his/her responsibility and will hold RV Therapy and its owners harmless from any fines or penalties caused by the lessee violation of the law. RV Therapy and its owners shall not be held responsible or liable for damages, inconvenience, or time lost caused by accident, breakdown, or malfunctioning of the motor home. The lessee further agrees to hold the lessor harmless should damage occur to any of the lessee’s personal property while carried in, or on the leased motor home including loss or damages caused by fire, water and theft. Lessee further agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the lessor from, and against any and all claims for loss of or damage to property or injury to persons, including death, resulting through the use, operation or possession of leased motor home. Regardless of the party at fault, lessee understands and agrees to be responsible for damages to leased motor home vehicle and/or equipment owned by RV Therapy resulting from a collision or other accident.

    After any accident, the lessee shall immediately report to the lessor by telephone. The lessee shall deliver to the lessor every document, pleading or paper of any kind relating to any claim, demand, suit or proceeding received by lessee or approved driver in connection with any incident, accident or occurrence involving the leased motor home. Lessee and driver agree to refrain from aiding or abetting the assertion of any claim and shall fully cooperate with lessor and the insurer in any investigation and defense of any claim or suit.

    If the leased motor home is stolen from the possession of lessee, the lessee shall immediately report to the local police authorities, notify the lessor and the lessee assumes the burden of firmly establishing its loss and to return the motor home keys to the lessor.

    Lessee shall be fully liable for loss or damage to the vehicle that results from collision with any overhanging structure, underpass or other object because of insufficient clearance whether of height or width.

    Lessee shall return the motor home to lessor in the same condition as it was received, ordinary wear excepted, on the date and time specified. The motor home shall be clean inside and out, gas tank and propane tanks full, black and grey holding tanks empty and rinsed, and no damage or missing equipment, or the renter shall forfeit the damage deposit in part or in full.

  7. Insurance:

    RV Therapy’s contracted renters are insured by Allstate Insurance Company, Alaska. This insurance coverage is included in the rental rate and includes:

    $100,000 Bodily Injury
    $300,000 Liability
    $50,000 Property Damage Liability
    $500 Deductible for Collision (refundable damage deposit)

    Notify your insurance agent of your intention to rent and operate a class c motor home. Your agent may recommend that you obtain an additional insurance binder for additional coverage. This is not an unwise decision.

  8. The lessor’s ability to provide a reserved motor home is contingent upon and subject to the motor home’s return by previous Lessee, and to accidents and other causes beyond lessor’s control.

  9. The lessee acknowledges that he/she has received instructions on the operation, use and maintenance of the motor home, including the operations and safety precautions connected with the bottled gas installations and appliances.

  10. Lessee acknowledges that he/she enters into this contract with full understanding of the terms and conditions, that this agreement contains the entire understanding between lessee and lessor.
